Separately, a flourishing market exists on Telegram, where groups with thousands of participants share comparison photos, injection guides and claims of next-day British shipping. Vendors promote the substance there before directing customers to WhatsApp for purchases.

This medication is an investigational injection created by American pharmaceutical company Eli Lilly. The treatment affects three gut hormones – glucagon-like peptide-1, glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide and pancreatic hormone. Early trials suggest it could assist patients lose up to 25% of their body weight. Referred to as the “triple G”, the substance is being promoted online as the next Ozempic.

Healthcare Experts Express Worries
